Gypsy Girl
This carpet is a tribute to the archeological remains from the mosaics of the ancient city of Zeugma. Preserved now in the Zeugma Mosaic Museum in Gaziantep, Turkey; the artist undertook the challenge of trying to capture the depth of history in these mosaics and translate them to the medium of a hand knotted rug.
